Task & Habit Creation

Create Tasks and Habits, organise them into Groups, and turn your real-life goals into progress

Tasks and Habits are at the heart of Levelite's productivity system. They allow you to turn the things you want to accomplish in real life into trackable activities that contribute to your journey.

Tasks are best suited to actions you want to complete, while Habits help you track behaviours you want to perform consistently over time.

To keep everything organised, Tasks can also be assigned to Groups, allowing related activities to be kept together.

You may see a number of different kinds of tasks in the app

  • Tasks: Tasks represent things you want or need to accomplish. They can be used for everyday responsibilities, work, studying, fitness, personal projects, long-term goals, or almost anything else you want to track.

  • Habits:

  • Routines: For more information go to the Routine Generator page

  • Challenge Tasks: For more information go to the Challenge page

  • SkillBook Tasks: For more information go to the Skill Book page

Tasks Customisation

Tasks can be in a number of formats:

  • Daily Tasks allow you to create activities to be repeated daily

  • Weekly Tasks allow you to create activities to be repeated weekly on a specifically assigned day

  • One time tasks allow you to create activities that will not repeat and are one off's

  • Advanced tasks allow you to customise the frequency of the task and if it will be daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. This allows you to to select specific days in the month, months in the year and the frequency that it will repeat. For example you could select specific months and days within those months when you want to complete tasks.

Tasks can also be customised with:

  • Add an image allows you to attach a photograph to the task, this is useful for specific exercises or notes related to the task. This will be visible when clicking into the task (unless you have changed the size of your tasks in settings)

  • Attribute assignment is required for each task. Remember upon completion of the task this will contribute to your stats so its important to consider overall balance to your tasks or routine.

  • Start and end date if you want to repeat or complete a task within a certain time frame constraints can be put around it.

  • Task reminders allow you to generate notifications for specific tasks. This is particularly useful to remember important tasks or one time tasks for completion.

  • Subtasks allow you to create subtasks within a larger task which helps to break down large tasks.

  • Count modality allows you to select the number/frequency of actions to complete the task. E.g. you want to drink 3 glasses of water in the day.

  • Habit modality allows for recurring tasks enabling you to schedule activities that need to be completed regularly. You are able to select a target frequency but it will continue counting after the target has been achieved. E.g. you want to drink 3 glasses of water but you can carry on logging the number of glasses once you have exceeded 3.

Visual Customisation

There are a few different ways that tasks can be customised to your preferences or assigned into groups.

  • Colour: you can create you own system and assign different tasks different colours.

  • Tags: you can create tags for different kinds of tasks to keep track of things

  • Workspace: you can create workspaces that will group tasks separately from the main list. Creating a workspace will result in a new task section on the main task page creating a larger visual separation of the tasks. The order that these appear on the homepage can be adjusted in settings.

Trivia
