Levelite

Buff and Debuff

Overview of Buffs and Debuffs in Levelite and their effects during combat.

In Levelite: Gamify Life, Buffs and Debuffs are status effects that can significantly influence the outcome of a battle. They can affect a character's damage, defense, speed, abilities, and survivability.

Understanding how each effect works is essential for building effective strategies and gaining an advantage in combat.

Debuffs

Debuffs are negative status effects that weaken enemies or interfere with their ability to fight effectively.

Stun / Paralysis

The affected enemy may be unable to act and can skip their turn while the effect is active.

Freeze

The affected enemy has a 50% chance to skip their turn.

Confusion

Causes the affected enemy to behave unpredictably. Their actions may become random or unusual, making their behavior difficult to predict.

Burning

Deals Fire-element damage over time to the affected target.

Bleed

Deals damage over time based on the target's HP.

Poison

Deals damage over time based on the target's HP.

Exposure

Increases the amount of damage taken by the affected target, making them more vulnerable to attacks.

Blight

Applies a stacking effect that reduces the target's maximum HP. Multiple stacks can progressively lower their maximum health.

Silence

Prevents the affected target from using Magic Skills while the effect is active.

Shield Steal

Drains the enemy's shield and transfers the stolen shield value to the user.

Taunt

Forces the affected enemy to target and attack the user, redirecting their attacks toward the taunting character.

Buffs

Buffs are positive status effects that enhance a character's combat abilities, survivability, or offensive power.

Magic Amplification +5%

Increases magical attack damage by 5%.

Critical Chance / Elemental Critical Chance

Increases the chance of landing a Critical Hit or an Elemental Critical Hit, depending on the type of buff.

Damage +30%

Increases the character's attack damage by 30%.

Shield +30%

Increases the character's defensive shield, allowing them to reduce incoming damage by 30%.

Speed Increase

Increases the character's attack speed, allowing them to perform actions more quickly.

Evasion Increase

Increases the chance of dodging incoming attacks.

Mark Enemy

Marks an enemy and causes the next hit against the marked target to deal +50% damage.

Elemental Buffs

Provides increased protection against a specific element, reducing incoming damage from attacks of that element.

Defense / Resistance Boost

Increases defensive capabilities and reduces incoming elemental damage.

Unbreakable Shield / Special Shield

Creates a special barrier that can fully absorb incoming damage.

Damage Reflection

Reflects a portion or the specified amount of damage received back to the attacking enemy.

Buffs vs. Debuffs

Buffs and Debuffs can be used together to create powerful combat strategies. Buffs generally improve your character's offensive or defensive capabilities, while Debuffs weaken enemies or limit their ability to respond.

A well-timed combination of effects—such as Mark Enemy + Damage Increase, or Exposure + Damage-over-Time effects—can greatly increase your effectiveness in battle
